The Owner
Big Lake Print is owned and operated by Kristi Waits, an Oregon native who moved away as a youth only to return 40 years later. Kristi was professionally trained as a criminal justice policy researcher (aka data nerd), but managed to acquire a variety of other skills along the way including web design, graphic design, digital marketing, and project management. She's a systems thinker who loves connecting with people and/or nature almost as much as she enjoys quiet time in front of the computer creating things.
The Business
Big Lake Print started in Wisconsin near the shores of Lake Superior (aka The Big Lake), but moved to the Oregon Coast in 2023. From its inception, Big Lake was built on the premise of helping small businesses and organizations get their logo on apparel as quickly and easy as possible. There are dozens of print-on-demand services available, but what Big Lake Print does differently is provide personalized concierge service to all of our clients.
The Products
Big Lake Print products are carefully selected based on specific criteria including quality, comfort, and style. While there are thousands of options available, we take great care in selecting only those items that meet our high standards. This includes both name brand and generic apparel. We only offer products that we would wear ourselves and source from companies that we believe in and trust. Whether it's a casual t-shirt or a professional dress shirt, we take equal care in all of our product offerings.
The Process
Big Lake Print utilizes a hybrid model that maximizes the benefits of outsourcing materials with the benefits of insourcing production and customer service. Every item ordered through Big Lake Print is pressed, packed, and shipped from our headquarters in Cannon Beach, Oregon. To minimize waste, all of our products are printed on demand so we only produce what you want when you want it.
